Abstract
On February 11, 2012, Azombeni Benjamin together with three known as Cesard, Jules and Machine killed one elephant at Edzoumbou village near Pokola at Mokeko district during a big hunting expedition. Azombeni’s role was to carry the trophies, while Cesard was the shooter, Jules’ role was to carry the net and Machine’s role was to carry their clothes and mosquito net. Cesard was the one who killed the elephant.

Azombeni Benjamin was sentenced to ten months imprisonment, XAF 100,000 (one hundred thousand) as fines and to pay XAF 500,000 (five hundred thousand) as damages and XAF 50,000 (fifty thousand) as costs. The PMK that served for the killing of the animal was confiscated. The imprisonment in default of payment was fixed to fifteen days for the recovery of court fees, one month for the recovery of fines and three months for damages.
