Abstract

Limbataka Rolly is a Congolese living in Pokola. In November he set his metal trap in the Ndoki 2 forest to capture small wild species. On November 6, 2015 he went to the forest to check his traps and he discovered that one trap was taken away by an animal leaving its footsteps. Limbataka Rolly followed the footsteps in a distance of 300m and discovered that the animal, a bongo, has been captured and was dead. Limbataka Rolly came back to the site and found the help of Essongo Wilson and Gnoungou Freud who accepted and all went and skinned the animal each one took his part and they went back to Moboko village. On their way back they were caught by rangers and brought before the state prosecutor.
