Abstract

Ndong Yannick met with one known as Bachirou who proposed him to accompany his hunter known as Angoula and others for a hunting expedition. Two days later, they went to the forest where they stayed for eight days without finding something and decided to go back to Souanke with the hunting materials composed of one PMAK weapon and six loaders and give it back to its owner (Bachirou). Few days later they went back to the forest and after ten days, they came back to the camp with four small ivory tusks which they sold at XAF 60,000 (sixty thousand) to a Cameroonian and shared the money. Before reaching Souanke, Ndong Yannick hid the weapon and the local people took the loaders and left Bachirou without news. One week later, rangers arrested Ndong Yannick following investigations and brought him to the state prosecutor.
