On June 09, 2015 in Moloundou, the named BAPIEE Pascal recruited four persons for elephant poaching activity in the forest. While there, they fell asleep in a makeshift camp and were later awakened by the sounds of a furious elephant rushing at them. Feeling threatened BAPIEE Pascal shot the Kalashnikov he had in the direction of the animal, which fell several times but got up and managed to escape. Just after, he was surprised by the cries of a human being who turned out to be MOAFO Emmanuel one of the young men who accompanied him, who had been fatally wounded in the chest. During interrogation BAPIEE Pascal admitted to having unlawfully detained a weapon. This weapon (AK 47 escamotable n° AB354524) and the 70 munitions had been given to him by a certain ABOUBAKAR, a Cameroonian trader living in Congo. He claims not having killed the elephant he shot. Following interrogations, together with the seized items (gun and ammunitions), he was transmitted to the State Attorney for prosecution.
