On the 23 December 2016, the accused, SALO, and MBALLA Abrahim were arrested elements of the forestry and wildlife control post, Libongo-Salpoumbe received reliable information about an illegal ongoing trafficking. The elements proceeded to arrest the accused PALE SENATE Tresor who admitted possessing two (02) elephant ivories and showed the elements were he had hidden it. He claimed he picked them from the forest while carrying out his duties with the company he works with called SEFAC of Libongo. The other two accused persons SALO and MBALLA Abrahim, accomplices had arranged to sell the ivories. They all pleaded guilty as charged and confessed committing the offences. It was based on this that they were transmitted before the Court of First Instance Yokadouma for prosecution.
