In August 2015, Guoxiang D. used mobile phone to contact Zhang via WeChat, purchased 5 ivory cards from him for sale, and Zhang sent 5 ivory cards to the place where Guoxiang D. operated through SF Express. In July 2016, the Forest Branch of Yinchuan Public Security Bureau seized 5 ivory cards from Guoxiang D.. After the appraisal, the 5 ivory cards all ivory products. The ivory was owned by Asian elephants or African elephants, both of which were under first class state protection. As confirmed by the Price Certification Center of Xingqing District, Yinchuan City, the five pieces of ivory weighed 0.099 kg and the price was 4125 yuan. Guoxiang D. confessed to having illegally purchased rare and endangered wild animals’ manufactured products.
