Abstract

On June 26, 2012 at Ebang Essandone, gendarmes of the Kye-Ossi brigade arrested BIYOGHE ONDO Boris Francis on board of a vehicle going to Kye-Ossi (Cameroon). After a search of the vehicle, they discovered two bags containing 17 ivory pieces and two ivory tusks in the back boot. During his interrogation, the suspect declared that he was going to Kye-Ossi with his friend Issa each one in his vehicle. When they reached Bitam, Issa gave him the bags that he ignored the content. At the level of the State prosecutor he maintained his declarations and the level of the instructions he declared that he didn’t ignore that the bag contained ivory tusks but that the possession was forbidden.
