In September 2013 at Lebamba, Ngoyi Jacques went to the forest to visit his traps and found that one pather who trapped in one of them. He went back to find some help and came back with Moukala Francois and together their skinned the animal and shared the meat and skin of the animal. Ngoyi insisted to bring back the liver of the animal to the village despite the advice of Moukala to burry it in the forest. Following an information from an anonymous informer, elements of the gendarmerie brigade of Lebamba went to the residence of the Ngoyi and discovered the panther skin, teeth and part of the liver that they destroyed at the brigade. Interrogated, the suspect admitted to have captured the animal and it is by lack of knowledge that he brought the panther’s liver to the village.
