On the 25 August 2015 in the locality of Pouma, elements of the conservation service arrested the accused, BITJOKA Jean Marie in illegal possession of skulls of chimpanzees, gorillas and other unidentified monkeys. He was about to commercialize them at the time of his arrest and was void of any identity document. After his arrest, he revealed that the animal skulls belonged to his cousin, a certain DAMA who had requested his services as he is a motorbike driver, to transport the products from his home to the hotel where they were supposed to meet. During interrogations he refused to give more information about his co-offender and pleaded not guilty. At the close of interrogations, he was transmitted together with the seized products before the State Attorney for prosecution.
