Abstract
Elements of the gendarmerie post of Socambo were informed about an ongoing illegal hunting activity. Following this information, they proceeded to arrest the accused KEMBE Jean de Rose with a hunting gun and ammunitions for Calibre 12. During interrogations, it was discovered that his hunting partner, Nanga Nestor was brutally wounded and subsequently killed by an elephant he attempted killing. When asked to show legal justification for possessing the weapon, he failed to prove it. At the close of interrogations, he was transmitted together with the seized items as exhibit before the State Attorney for prosecution.
