Following a preliminary investigation by the State Attorney of the Court of First Instance, Djoum the accused Medjo M'ezo'o nee Mbozo Ossah was summoned to respond to charges of poaching protected animal species. That on August 08 1991 in Djoum, she was arrested by forces of law and order during a routine control check in possession of thirty-three (33) legs of smoked bushmeat and other species without a certificate of origin. During proceedings, the accused failed to appear before the court inspite being summoned severally. At the end of the proceedings, the matter was adjourned for judgement.
