The accused persons ADAMOU HANAWA and BOUBA OUMAROU were summoned to appear before the court of first instance Djoum to respond to charges of illegal killing of protected animal species in a zone prohibited from hunting without a hunting permit and concealment the 01 December 1988 in Lele. During the hearing, the accused ADAMOU HANAWA made an application for bail. He brought in the situation of his family as grounds for his request for bail. He declared he has a large a family who depends on him for subsistence and secondly, he raised his advanced age to further buttressed his application. His application for bail was not opposed by the state prosecutor. The matter was adjourned for the judgement on grant of bail.
