In 2016, NTIKAM ABDOURAMANI was arrested by Forestry and Wildlife officials for illegal detention of pangolin scales as he was about to traffic them. He was prosecuted and sentenced at the Court of First Instance of Bertoua. 0n the 27 January 2016, he was sentenced to a weak imprisonment term of 55 days only.
The accused Mpoumeda was contacted by his friend a certain Herman that a certain lady called Divine requested huge quantities of pangolin scales and was ready to buy a kilogram at 8000 XAF. Based on this that he contacted potential suppliers among the co-offender Atek Elody.
