From March 2017 to December 2018, Hongyue Q. purchased wild animals, such as snakes and frogs, from farmers in Dankou Town, Chengbu County many times without obtaining a license for the operation of wild animals and their products and without registering with the industrial and commercial department. Then he sold them to Xia, Wang, Zhong.
On April 4, 2018, the defendant Cheng F. was carrying a suspected rhino horn and was going to take a flight from Mangshi to Kunming, where he was found at the security checkpoint of Mangshi Airport. After weighing, the net weight of the suspected rhino horn seized was 0.016 kg.
Since the end of 2013, the defendant Fangzhao S. purchased endangered wildlife products such as ivory and helmeted hornbill heads in the Panjiayuan (antique) market in Beijing, and brought them back to the store“Juxin Ge” in Xinmin West Road, Shifosi Town, Zhenping for sale.
In March 2017, Zhanxing N. and his daughter Yan N. went to Yanjiao Town to meet with Lianji W. (separate case) and her boyfriend defendant Taihao J., and bought one rhino horn for RMB 210,000. In late March of the same year, Zhanxing N. and Yan N. sold the rhino horn to Guosheng F. and Shijie J. at a price of RMB 230,000.
The defendants Hongying Z. and Siping Q. purchased ivory and bird products by express delivery from Guangzhou without legal procedures, and sold them in their store at No. 73, Xianwen Lane, Guangyi Street, Gucheng District, Lijiang City.
From 2015 to 2016, defendant Hu, in the mahogany store he operated, had 2 suspected ivory brands (identified as Asian elephants or African ivory products, weighing 0.071 kg and worth RMB 2958), one suspected rhino horn were sold to Liu for 1200 yuan.
On March 12, 2019, the police of the Criminal Investigation Brigade of the Yingjiang County Public Security Bureau arrested the defendant Jin in her home in Yingjiang County, and on the spot seized a suspected red deer antler (with a bone), 2 suspected rhino horn, 7 suspected wild animal nails, and so on.
In May 2014, the defendant Jianxiang L. met Zhang (sentenced) in a group of engraving enthusiasts on QQ and asked Zhang for ivory. On July 24 and July 26, 2014, Jianxiang L. twice transferred RMB 42,100 and 33,200 to Zhang's account. After receiving the above payment, Zhang sent an approximately 5 kg of ivory to Jianxiang L.
The defendant Jianxing L., illegally purchased 5 pieces of ivory products from elephants which were threatened and endangered wild animals, and shipped them to Sanya and handed them to the defendant Shengqi C. for sale.
On February 28, 2014, Luo Jianzhi and Li Silong loaded the cargo ship at Qingsheng Terminal in Thailand and drove to Guanli Port in China. On March 7, 2014, the "Jiazhi" cargo ship entered China's Guanle Por. On March 12, Xishuangbanna customs supervision officers inspected the "Jiazhi" cargo ship.
