In 2016, the accused Anthony NWABU NWANNE NWOYE was arrested flagrante delicto by elements of the conservation service of the Regional Delegation of Forestry and Wildlife, Bertoua.
The accused, Feussi Andre was arrested for the illegal killing of totally protected species (Giant pangolins). On this ground, he was prosecuted before the Court of First Instance Abong Mbang.
On the 9 December 2014, elements of the Regional Delegation of Forestry and Wildlife Buea received a letter from military officials who were on a mixed control mission in the town of Misselele, about a seizure of pangolin scales and elephant ivories carried out on the 8 December.
In October 2013, BABA AHMADOU, the board chairperson of the telecoms company VIETTEL, sent a complaint to the Buea Judicial police about some of his collaborators indulging in smuggling elephant tusks and pangolin scales in the national territory tarnishing the reputation of their firm.

In 2018, the accused MOUATCHO Kameni was arrested by elements of the East Regional Delegation of Forestry and Wildlife in Betare-Oya with 36.6 kilogrammes of Pangolins scales, five (5) Hippopotamus teeth, 01 elephant tusk and two (2) African Python skins).
In 2016, NTIKAM ABDOURAMANI was arrested by Forestry and Wildlife officials for illegal detention of pangolin scales as he was about to traffic them. He was prosecuted and sentenced at the Court of First Instance of Bertoua. 0n the 27 January 2016, he was sentenced to a weak imprisonment term of 55 days only.
The accused Mpoumeda was contacted by his friend a certain Herman that a certain lady called Divine requested huge quantities of pangolin scales and was ready to buy a kilogram at 8000 XAF. Based on this that he contacted potential suppliers among the co-offender Atek Elody.
On the 28 February 2017, the Court of First instance of Batouri found HAMADOU MOUSSA BLAIRE guilty of illegal killing of totally protected species, illegal detention, circulation and commercilization of totally protected animal species trophies and he was sentenced to three months imprisonment terms and to pay 50,650 XAF for cost after he ben
