It was alleged that the accused person on 10 March 2015 Chanumba Village within Chamwino District was found in possession of honey badger skin, pangolin skin, cobra skin, python skin, hyena tail, “mangore” skin. The accused was found guilty.
On 12.05.2001 at Mirerani village within Simanjiro District in Manyara Region the accused person was found in unlawful possession of government trophy to wit, antelope meat property of the government of Tanzania. The accused person was found not guilty and was therefore acquitted.
The accused person on 20 March 2015 at Chanumba Village in Chamwino District in Dodoma Region, was found in possession of crocodile skin, pangolin skin, lion nail and two dik-dik teeth. The accused was found guilty.

From December 2009 to April 2010, the defendants Huang Yawen, Chen Song, Cheng Zhiqiang and Fu Qiang were twice employed by Pangma (handed separately) to help NG SOO HEONG (nicknamed "tall guys") smuggle frozen pangolin and scales into China by a wooden fishing vessel "Pearl Bay, 3815".
On 28 November 2000 a consignment arrived at Heathrow from the Cameroons on a Swissair flight via Zurich. The consignor was Mrs Monie and the consignee and importer the appellant. The consignment contained for the most part frozen cassava leaves and indeed that was how the accompanying documents described it.
On February 18, 2014, rangers on service at PK17 kms from Ouesso in the exercise of their duties found inside the backbooth of a taxi one leopard skin, pangolin scales and a python skin.
The appellants brought an appeal against the sentences handed down to them by the Magistrate, for being in possession of a live pangolin in contravention of teh Controlled Wildlife Act. The sentence imposed was 24 months imprisonment of which 12 months were suspended for 5 years on appropriate conditions.
On the night of the 5 breaking 6 April 2012, the accused persons were arrested in the Forest Management Unit N° 09-025, a protected area by elements of the conservation service. They were found in possession of trophies of protected animal species, including 4 Blue Duikers, 1 Bay duiker, 2 pangolins, 01 hunting gun and 13 ammunitions.
