The accused persons on 12.07.2014 at Kaloleni area within Arusha city were found in unlawful possession of five ivory tusks the property of Tanzania Government. In this case, Anti-poaching Unit received a tip from an informer that the accused person were in possession of ivory tusks and were looking for a buyer.
That on 21st May, 2012 at Msima forest within Mpanda District in Katavi Region the accused person was found with government trophies. Then brought before the court to answer a charge. The accused was convicted.
Sometimes on 22nd February, 2011 at Manga village within Mpanda District in Rukwa region the accused person was arrested and found in unlawful possession of ten kilos of Elephant meat valued Tshs. 4,080,000/= property of the government of Tanzania. Then brought before the court to answer a charge. The accused was convicted.
On 29th June, 2012 at Katisunga village within Mpanda District in Katavi Region the accused person were arraigned and found in unlawful possession of government trophies. Then brought before the court to answer a charge. The accused persons were acquitted.
On 13th April, 2011 at Mnyamasi area within Mpanda District, the accused persons were arraigned and found in unlawful possession of government trophies. A charge of unlawful possession was brought against the accused person before the court. The accused persons were acquitted.
On 27th June, 2011 at Buzogwe area in Majengo”A” within Mpanda District, the accused persons were found and arraigned in unlawful possession of government trophies. Then brought before the court to answer a charge. The accused persons were convicted.
On 11th May, 2010 at Mlangale village the accused person was arraigned and found in unlawful possession of firearm without a license. Also accused person was in unlawful possession of government trophies and ammunition. A charge brought before the court for accused to answer. The accused was convicted.
That on 17th June, 2009 at Igongwe area within Mpanda District in Rukwa Region the accused person was found in unlawful possession of government trophies. Then brought before the court to answer a charge. The accused was convicted.
On 17th April, 2008 at Rukwa Lukwati Forest Reserve within Mpanda District the accused person was arraigned and found in unlawful possession of government trophies. Then brought before the court to answer a charge. The accused was convicted.
On 15th October, 2012 at Kwajense area within Mpanda District in Rukwa Region the accused person was arraigned and found possessing unlawfully government trophies. Then brought before the court to answer a charge. The accused was convicted.
