At 7 a.m. on October 13, 2015, in order to catch birds, Wang went to the open wheat field of Yihetan on the north side of the kiln plant in Jiatan Village, Shucheng Town, Shuyang County, sowing rice grains mixed with pesticides and playing bird song music to lure birds to come for food. A total of 67 larks and 1 red-footed Falcon were poisoned.

The Accused was arrested at Kaburara in Kasese District and taken to Kasese police and was later transferred to Kampala CPS.

The Accused were arrested at Gulu Main Market in Gulu municipality and were transferred to Kampala CPS. The Accused were found to be in possession of specimen belonging to animals categorized as protected species contrary to the laws of the country.
