Accused illegally entered a wildlife conservation area and killed a wild animal to wit a warthog, and was found in possession of devices capable of killing and injuring wildlife protected species to wit 9 spears, 5 metal traps, 3 knives, 1 axe, 1 panga, 2 wire snares and 3 hooks
The Accused was found in a wildlife protected area without permission and was in possession of wildlife protected species and devices capable of killing, injuring and capturing wildlife protected species contrary to the laws of the country. The Accused was charged and prosecuted at the Chief Magistrate Court of Nwoya at Amuru.
Accused persons were arrested inside a wildlife conservation area in possession of four metal traps, 3 spears, several pieces of fresh Uganda Kob and fresh meat of warthog.
The accused was arrested and charged for unlawful possession of wildlife species. He pleaded guilty and was convicted on his own plea of guilty to UGX 1.200,000/= in default serve 14 months imprisonment
