On 11/07/2018, accused illegally entered a wildlife conservation area at Got Coyo in Murchison Falls was found in possession of a spear, knife, a panga and wheel trap, devices capable of killing or causing injury to wildlife species.
The Accused were arrested in Murchison Falls Park and were found to be in possession of specimen belonging to animals categorized as protected species contrary to the laws of the country. The Accused were charged and prosecuted at the Chief Magistrate Court of Nwoya at Nwoya.
The 2 accused were arrested for illegal entry into a wildlife protected area and possession of devices capable of killing and injuring wildlife protected species to wit, 6 knives and 2 fishing nets. The two accused pleaded guilty and were convicted on their own plea of guilty.
On the 11/02/2019 accused illegally entered a wildlife conservation area within Murchison Falls and killed a Uganda Kob. He was also found in possession of devices capable of killing or causing injury to wildlife species.
