On the 9 April 2020, elements of the conservation service of the Divisional Delegation of Forestry and Wildlife of the Upper-Nyong Division received reliable information about ongoing pangolin scales trafficking in the town of Dimako. A team was mobilized to arrest the suspects and dismantle the trafficking network.

The accused persons, CHINGO Zacharie and ADAMU YAYA were prosecuted before the court of First Instance Djoum for illegal detention and killing of totally protected animal species notably 03 bags containing 39 elephant ivories.

Elements of the conservation service of Dja organized an anti-poaching patrol mission in the Dja reserve. During this mission, the accused SELLE Alphonse was found in possession of two bags containing freshly killed protected animal species on his motorbike.

In 2018, the accused MOUATCHO Kameni was arrested by elements of the East Regional Delegation of Forestry and Wildlife in Betare-Oya with 36.6 kilogrammes of Pangolins scales, five (5) Hippopotamus teeth, 01 elephant tusk and two (2) African Python skins).

On the 5 September 2017, elements of the forestry and wildlife control post of Djoum carried out investigations on poaching activities. This led to the arrest of the accused flagrante delicto with a Chimpanzee in attempt to sell it.

The accused, Feussi Andre was arrested for the illegal killing of totally protected species (Giant pangolins). On this ground, he was prosecuted before the Court of First Instance Abong Mbang.

In January 2018, military officials of the gendarmerie post of Socambo received reliable information on an ongoing illegal trafficking activity.

On the 28 February 2017, the Court of First instance of Batouri found HAMADOU MOUSSA BLAIRE guilty of illegal killing of totally protected species, illegal detention, circulation and commercilization of totally protected animal species trophies and he was sentenced to three months imprisonment terms and to pay 50,650 XAF for cost after he ben

On the August 29 2017 the accused OBA'A ABOUTOU Celestin was arrested in Ebolowa by elements of the conservation service. He was arrested in possession of class A and B protected animal species, notably a baby chimpanzee and a bag weighing 5kg of pangolin scales.

In 2015, the accused NGONGHO Francis SENGHO was arrested flagrante delicto by elements of the conservation service of the Divisional Delegation of Forestry and Wildlife, Batouri. He was found in possession of trophies of totally protected animal species (Gorilla and Chimpanzees).
