The accused Mwajuma was charged of an offence of been in unlawful possession of the Government Trophy which is contrary to section 86 (1) of the Wildlife Conservation Act No. 5 of 2009 read together with Paragraph 14 (d) of the First Schedule to the Economic and Organized Crime Control Act Cap 200 of R.E 2002.
On 11th May, 2010 at Mlangale village the accused person was arraigned and found in unlawful possession of firearm without a license. Also accused person was in unlawful possession of government trophies and ammunition. A charge brought before the court for accused to answer. The accused was convicted.
On 17th April, 2008 at Rukwa Lukwati Forest Reserve within Mpanda District the accused person was arraigned and found in unlawful possession of government trophies. Then brought before the court to answer a charge. The accused was convicted.
Sometimes on 24th October, 2007 at Kaponda village within Mpanda District in Rukwa region the accused person was arraigned and found in unlawful possession of government trophies. A charge was brought before the court for accused person to answer. The accused was convicted.
On 2nd May, 2009 at Mpimbwe-Usevya village within Mpanda District in Rukwa Region, the accused person was arraigned and found in unlawful possession of government trophies. A charge of unlawful possession was brought against the accused person before the court. The accused person was convicted.
Sometimes on 13th April, 2007 at Kashaulili area within Mpanda District in Rukwa Region, the accused person was found in unlawful possession of 10 kg of hippopotamus meat valued 840,000/=, a horn of greater kudu valued Tshs. 1,600,000/= and one feather of porcupine valued tsh. 150,000/= the property of United Republic of Tanzania.
On 9th October, 2013 at Mnyamasi area at Vikonge village within Mpanda District in Katavi Region, the accused person was arraigned and found in unlawful possession of government trophy. He was therefore charged with an economic crime and wildlife conservation. The accused was convicted.
On 10th October, 2013 at Muze village within Mlele District in Katavi region the accused person was arraigned and found in unlawful possession of government trophies. A charge was brought before the court for accused person to answer. The accused was acquitted.
On 4.3. 2010 Anti-Poaching Unit in Arusha was informed that the accused’s residence situated at Baraa in Arumeru District had some trophies that were unlawful kept.
On or about 12th February, 2010 at Ngorongoro Conservation area within Ngorongoro district in Arusha region, the accused persons were found in unlawful possession of government trophy to wit, one buffalo which was carried in a vehicle owned by the Government of Tanzania.
