In February 2018, Heng Z. purchased a snow leopard skin from Han through WeChat and sold it to Yu. Then he asked Han to deliver the snow leopard skin to Xu by courier at the address provided by Yu. After the appraisal, the snow leopard skin involved was worth 400,000 yuan. Snow leopard was under first class state protection and under Appendix I of CITES. In March 2008, Heng Z. purchased 89.95 grams of rhino horn scraps from his WeChat friend "Xiaoxiong", and then resold the scraps to Yu, who then resold it to Poru L. After identification, the source of the rhinoceros horn was rhinoceros, which were under Appendix I of CITES, valued at 22487.5 yuan. In April 2018, Heng Z. purchased a pair of antelope horns from Tan for RMB 3626, and then sold them to Liu for RMB 3700. It was identified that the antelope horn originated from Gazelle De Przewalski, which was under second class state protection and was worth 5000 yuan. In May 2018, Heng Z. purchased tiger nails, tiger teeth, and tiger whip from WeChat friend "Xiaoxiong", and purchased tiger teeth from Tan. Later, they were resold to Yu, and Yu then resold to He. After the appraisal, the suspected tiger claws and tiger teeth originated from lion under Appendix II of CITES. The tiger bones originated from brown bear, which was under second class state protection and the total value was 17375 yuan. Heng Z. confessed to having illegally purchased and sold and rare and endangered wild animals manufactured products.
