Abstract
On April 8, 2018, the defendants Dong J. and Juan L. drove Yuwanzhou Yufu No. 80040 fishing boat from the waters of Nanmenkou in Wanzhou District of the Yangtze River to Xutuo Waters of Wanzhou District of the Yangtze River, and placed four three-layer meshes with a size of 12 cm gill net. On the same month on the 12th, they collected Chinese suckers (Beaufortia kweichowensis) weighing 3.7 kg and other 36 fishes weighing 16.25 kg from the fishing net. Dong J. and Juan L. confessed to having illegally hunted threatened and endangered wildlife species.
