On 23/10/2013, the two accused persons were found in possession of one piece of lion skin at Kiroreri village within Bunda District. The accused were caught after the wildlife warden and police men that were on operation received information that there were two persons transferring government trophy and were using a motorbike. The police followed the bike and caught the accused persons. The case originates from Tarime District Court, with economic case no. 59 of 2013. The accused on the trial court was charged together with another person, one, Genza Mahuku. The District court found Mandela Maskini Kasalama guilty and Genza Mahuku not guilty. Mandela Maskini being aggrieved appealed. The High Court dismissed the appeal.
