Abstract

On January 13, 2019 at Makokou, Mbondazokou Jean Valentin, Mbetsakame Régis, Nzingo Satoka Carl Boris were apprehended by judicial police officers who found them in possession of two ivory tusks hidden inside a bag of rice. Mbondazokou Jean Valentin and Mbetsakame Régis admitted the facts i.e. to have possessed, transported, attempted to trade in trophies of fully protected species without administrative authorization. Nzingo Satoka Carl Boris admitted to have helped in the trade by finding the buyer.
