On May 16, 2019, water and forests agents were informed that a transaction on ivory tusks will take place in a hotel in Mouila and decided together with the police to move to the place. While there, they found Mrs Koghe in possession of two ivory tusks, arrested her and brought her to the police.

On 14 November2012 in Libreville, AMOUGOU Maurice Magloire and GUEYE MOR MATY were caught red handed by Water and Forests and counter-intelligence agents transporting ivory tusks in a hotel and arrested. GUEYE MOR MATY recognized to have kept 29 kg in his house before offering them for sale to AMOUGOU.

During October and November in Gamba, Diakite Oumar received a phone call from one known as Traore who wanted to purchase ivory. Diakite then contacted several hunters from whom he purchased 47.8kg of ivory. He then went to Libreville with the products to sell them.

In February 2020 at Cocobeach, while he was at his house ETOUGHE NGUEMA Philibert BEKALE was approached by ENGONE Jean who offered to sale him two ivory tusks removed from an elephant carcass in a state of decay.

During the night of 21 to 22 June 2016 at around 4:00am, gendarmes of the Mitzic brigade patrolling at the Zomoko check point on Mitzic-Larara road controlled the vehicle of Allongifor Emmanuel a Cameroonian. During the search they found ten ivory tusks hidden.

On June 26, 2012 at Ebang Essandone, gendarmes of the Kye-Ossi brigade arrested BIYOGHE ONDO Boris Francis on board of a vehicle going to Kye-Ossi (Cameroon). After a search of the vehicle, they discovered two bags containing 17 ivory pieces and two ivory tusks in the back boot.

On September 05, 2018, Mihindou Désiré is reported to have found a dead elephant during a hunting expedition. He then removed the tusks of the animal and went back to the village. While there he informed his son Beyeme Loudy Agilys and asked to find a buyer.

In October 2018 inside the OLAM company, 21 people including DADI AFENDI and YUNANI noticed the presence of a python in their work place. They then called one known as Sugang who had an experience in snakes capture. Sugang then came, captured the animal and released him later on in the presence of the suspects and some collegues.
