Abstract

Following information from an informer, agents of the NGO Conservation Justice were alerted that a state-of-the-art ivory transaction was to take place in one of the rooms of the PLAZA studio motel. Assisted by the Judicial Police officers, they mounted an operation to apprehend Sieurs Adamou Nouhou and Adamou Ba Mamadou who had gone there to sell the tusks they had placed in 5 suitcases containing 42 ivory tusks cut into 83 pieces and weighing a total of 206 kg.
