Abstract

in 2019, ADORO CHUKWIDI, a Nigerien national, reportedly received two ivory tusks from his brother, who was finally returning to the country, each weighing 0.5 kg. Eager to get rid of it, he approached the Nigerian-born AGHAEZE CHUKWU to help him find a buyer. Shortly afterwards, AGHAEZE in turn told his friend DIALLO DEMBA, who had previously informed him that he had met a Togolese subject, an ivory trafficker looking for the so-called product. Both on their way going to ADORO CHUKWIDI's workshop to collect the ivory tusks and present them to the so-called trafficker in a hotel room, they were surprised by the arrival of the officers of the provincial branch of the judicial police.
