Abstract
in December 2011, Banza Françis, Doubale Fabrice, Baketou Jean Marc and Doperengay Joseph were arrested inside the Nouabélé Ndoki National Park by a patrol and anti-poaching brigade of the eco-guards. The eco-guards found smoked chimpanzee meat in their possession.

Banza Françis, Doubale Fabrice, Baketou Jean Marc, Doperengay Joseph were sentenced to 5 years firm imprisonment and to pay XAF 5000000 ( five millions) as fines each. The accused were sentenced to pay XAF 2000000 (two millions) as damages and interest jointly. The accused were sentenced to pay the costs. The imprisonment per person was fixed to 10 days for court fees, 20 days for fines and 3months for damages and interest.
