Abstract

In October 2015, Zokaba Francis, Doumodoumo Rudaure Hassan and others met at Mopoko to talk about a big hunting expedition. They then gave one war weapon (type PMK) to Zokaba Francis. They went to the forest from Mopoko to Ngbala where after several days of hunting they killed one elephant. They were then arrested and brought before the state prosecutor.

Zokaba Francis and Doumodoumo Rudaure Hassan were sentenced to two years imprisonment, XAF 500,000 (five hundred thousand) as fines each, and to pay XAF 1,000,000 (one million) as damages and court fees jointly. The imprisonment term was suspended. The Imprisonment in default of payment was fixed at its maximum.
