Abstract

Assomba Bienvenu was staying at his aunt place at Motou-Mayeck when his uncle Gbolo Marcel invited him for hunting. Gbolo Marcel was on his turn contacted by Euguesse Eustache after having proposed to Edja Sagouo who declined. Euguesse and Gbolo went to the forest first in December and January and the third time with Tsoumou Dach and Mabikana Louis and came back with two ivory tusks. Euguesse went again to the forest with Tsoumou Dach and Zebal Sylvain. One week later they are joined by Edja and Mabikana and before the team came out Euguesse brought another war weapon type PMK and made a second team composed of Gbolo Marcel, Assomba Bienvenu, Ngobe Rostand and Melou Denis. It’s during that hunting that Gbolo was wounded to death by an elephant following which Edja gave two tusks to Bachirou to sell at XAF 15,000 (fifteen thousand) for Gbolo’s funeral.
