Abstract

In November 2012, Ekoumba Pierre decided to purchase one war weapon to carry out elephant hunting. He contacted his junior brother Dissaka Daring also in possession of a war weapon. The following day he went to hide the hunting material at Mobemba forest area near Pokola. On December 28, 2012, Ekoumba together with other people decided to hunt during several days in the camp. On his return to the village, Ekoumba informed the group that he was in possession of a war weapon with ammunition that they should use in case of hunting when back from the camp. They started querelling during the sharing of the hunting products following which Ekoumba Pierre was denounced to the gendarmerie by one of his mates that he was in possession of war materials. After investigations, Ekoumba Pierre was brought before the state prosecutor and sent to court for trial.
