Ndoba Matokolo André and Nyola Mozombi Kandza were living in Pokola. In November 2016, Nyola Mozombi Kandza an informant of one known as Kévin from WCS contacted his uncle Ndoba Matokolo André specialized in poaching for big hunting. Ndoba Matokolo accepted and recruited one known as Koffi as carrier. Nyola Mozombi was carrying a PMK weapon and ammunition. While in the forest they killed two elephants and removed the four tusks that they brought back to Pokola. Nyola Mozombi was looking for potential muslims clients and was selling one kg at XAF 25,000 (twenty five thousand). While they were concluding the transaction Nyola Mozombi informed Kévin who then informed rangers who came to the place of the transaction and arrested Ndoba Matokolo André and Nyola Mozombi Kandza while the others ran away. Both were brought to the state prosecutor and then sent to court for trial.
