Abstract

Pessakouo Mama and Baligwa Alphonse met for a business related to gold exploitation at Ekokola. Baligwa Alphonse asked Pessakouo Mama to provide him with a motorbike to ease his trips from the village to the exploitation area. Pessakouo Mama prefinanced the purchase of one motorbike, one telephone for a total of XAF 880,000 including customs formalities. Baligwa Alphonse reimbursed to Pessakouo Mama first XAF 330,000. Pessakouo Mama filed a complaint to the police against Baligwa for breach of trust because he did not pay the rest of his debt. During investigations, Baligwa Alphonse reported a poaching case that involved him and declared that the weapon used was purchased from Pessakouo Mama at XAF 250,000. And also that Pessakouo Mama possessed ivory tusks. Pessakouo Mama therefore requested a confrontation with Baligwa at the police for the truth-telling.
