Abstract

On November 22, 2013, in the framework of their mission to control and search people circulation in forest areas, rangers of the Manbili check point caught Xu Gen Dang in possession of one piece of ivory tusk. During his interrogation, Xu Gen Dang declared that he collected the trophy on August 15, 2013 at Djambala during the celebrations of Congo’s Independance Day. He was brought before the state prosecutor who forwarded him to court for trial.
