Abstract

Mokoundo Inex, a former security guard at the MTN antenna in Ndoki, was contacted by one named as Alino. Alino offered him to carry out a big hunting expedition and in order to get money for his cocoa farm, Mokoundo Inex accepted. On April 23, 2020, Alino and one named as Freddy provided two PMAK war weapons. The next day they killed a small elephant, then they killed one big elephant at an elephant track. On April 30, 2020, early in the morning they were surprised by an Eco-Guard patrol. Alino, Freddy and one named Heritier escaped. Mokoundo Inex was arrested and brought to the management unit of the Nouabale Ndoki national park.
