In April 2015, elements of the conservation service of the Lobeke National Park arrested the accused BOUSSE AKOUYA David, NAMADJOU Hugues, NGOMBE Freddy in the park after killing an elephant and extracting its ivories. They were found in possession of two (2) ivories, an arm & ammunitions, and an elephant tail. Following investigations, the elements discovered that the accused ANKOAT Clovis and MIKOUAKOU Aubin Lebrun furnished the gun used by the other culprits and the activity was sponsored by Clovis. They all accepted responsibility and confessed to all charges. After their offence report were established, they were forwarded together with the seized trophies as exhibits before the state attorney of the court of First Instance Yokadouma for prosecution.
