On the 3 July 2016, elements of the Forestry and Wildlife control post of Ngatto carried a wildlife control mission. The accused was intercepted and they proceeded to search his bags. They discovered 6 pieces of smoked Gorilla meat, 2 Peter Duikers side meat, 01 smoked Blue Duiker, and 19 feathers of African Grey Parrots. The accused admitted owning the said wildlife products. Following his interrogation, he forwarded before the state attorney of the court of First Instance Yokadouma for prosecution.

Illegal detention of parts of totally protected animal species
He was found guilty as charged and sentenced to pay 200.000 XAF for fines, 30.560XAF for costs, and 850.000 XAF as civil damages to the state of Cameroon represented by the Ministry of Forestry and Wildlife.
