Abstract
Elements of the conservation service of the Boumba Bek National park and the Forestry and Wildlife control post of Salapoumbe were informed about the killing of an elephant in the park. Further investigation led to the arrest of the accused persons, KOLONGO Rene, LIBAYA Francis and NGANDJIBOLO Nestor. During interrogations, they acknowledged committing the offences as charged as well as working with two others who owned the weapons used. The latter are still under chase. 04 pieces of elephant ivories were seized and placed as exhibits. At the close of interrogations, they were transmitted together with the seized items before the State Attorney for prosecution.
