In December 2012, elements of the conservation service of the Lobeke National Park arrested the accused MBE Gaston, in the said park in possession of an arm & ammunitions with the intention of poaching. During interrogation, he accepted responsibility and acknowledged committing the offences as charged. After his offence report was established, he was forwarded before the state attorney of the court of First Instance Yokadouma for prosecution.
