Abstract

On the 2 June 2010, the military on duty at the frontiers post of MINTOM, received reliable anonymous information that some unidentified individuals were detaining a stock of ivories. After exploiting this information, the military found and arrested MEDJA Etienne in detention of elephant tusks without any legal document authorizing this activity. His accomplices ran away before the arrival of the military in the field. Following interrogations, together with the seized items, he was transmitted to the State Attorney for prosecution.
