Abstract

In 2018 MEFIRE ISSOFA and WO LEMBO ABO Eric, were arrested in Yokadouma in possession of elephant tusks. After interrogations, together with the seized elephant tusks, they were all transmitted to the State Attorney for prosecution. The State Attorney remanded them in custody while under prosecution. Curiously at the third court session and in violation of the provisions of the Criminal Procedure Code, the judge granted them bail ex officio.
