Abstract

On the 8 October 2017, elements of the Forestry and Wildlife control post of Kika arrested the accused MFOMBURE MAMA following a daily checkpoint routine in that zone. He was found in possession of two (02) ivory tusks. He acknowledged ownership of the ivories and failed to explain how he got the ivories making him susceptible to the offence of illegal killing of a totally protected animal species, (Elephant). After interrogation, he was forwarded together with the seized items as exhibits before the State Attorney of the Court of First Instance Yokadouma for hearing.
