Abstract

The accused NGALLA Mohamed was arrested for involuntary murder, complicity in the illegal killing of totally protected animal species, and illegal detention of an arm. He was prosecuted before the Court of First Instance Yokadouma and was sentenced to 6 months imprisonment term and to pay 200.000 XAF for fines. The legal department of the said court was dissatisfied with the penitentiary sentence taking into consideration the gravity of the offences committed and filed an appeal. It was based on this that the matter was enrolled before the East court of Appeal for to review the judgment of the lower court.
