Abstract

On 13 July 2011, the accused persons NTYAME ENDANGTE Jislin and EVA EVA Mathurin went to the forest in NKOLAFENDECK to hunt. They also invited a certain MOTO David Livingstone to accompany them to carry this act. On the first day of hunting, they killed an elephant. NLOM Maixent Pierre being present at the material time and place when the act was committed became an accomplice. The accused NTYAME ENDANGTE Jislin was attacked by an elephant. The co-offenders thought he was dead and abandoned him, taking the elephant ivories with them. He was later on found by a research team. EVA EVA Mathurin informed the local authorities of their activities which was confirmed by the co-offenders. During interrogations, Eva Eva and Ntyame pleaded guilty, confirmed by Moto David Livingstone. While NLOM Maixent Pierre pleaded not guilty. They were all transmitted before the state attorney for prosecution.
