On the 27 November 2014, the accused Ondj'ii Nguema Pierre Clovis was arrested flagrante delicto in Meyo-Centre, by elements of the regional control brigade of the Ministry of Forestry and Wildlife. The accused was arrested in possession of 08 chimpanze skulls, and 01 gorilla skull. That he transported a bike rider and a woman on his bike from Ma’an to Meyo-Centre. About three kilometers to his destination, he came to a wildlife control post. The woman escaped leaving behind her package. The accused claimed that the package which contained the wildlife products was subsequently imposed on him as he was the only one arrested. Eventhough the accused pleaded not guilty during prosecutions, he confessed during interrogations that he traffics trophies of totally protected animal species for money. He further cited his collection points and furnishers in this network and indicated that he usually poaches these protected animal species personally in the Forest of Anguiridjang. At the close of interrogations, he was transmitted before the State Attorney for prosecution.
