Abstract

Elements of the conservation service of Dja organized an anti-poaching patrol mission in the Dja reserve. During this mission, the accused SELLE Alphonse was found in possession of two bags containing freshly killed protected animal species on his motorbike. The elements searched the bag and found within 01 fresh and 02 smoked Black-backed Duikers, 01 Peters Duiker, 01 fresh Blue Duiker and 07 whole smoked Black-Backed duikers. Upon seizure of the wildlife products, it was sold immediately by public auction. The accused recognized and acknowledged committing the offences as charged. At the close of interrogations, he was transmitted before the State Attorney for prosecution.
