Abstract
In March 2005 the accused persons SIMENTINI Christophe Eugene, BIBAH Georges, MEKOUAMETOLE EKOUNI Adolphe, MEDJAH Paul and SAM Laurent were prosecuted before the Court of First Instance of Abong-Mbang for the illegal detention of hunting materials within a protected area, refusal to obey orders, conditional threat and violence on civil servants. Upon trial, they were all found not guilty for the offences they were charged. They were then discharged and acquitted for insufficient incriminating evidence against them. The State Attorney filed an appeal against the judgement.
