Abstract
On the 1 August 2015, elements of the conservation service of the Lobeke National Park organized an anti-poaching patrol in the said park and its peripheries. Following this patrol, the elements proceeded to arrest five (5) poachers camping in the forest, in SAFARI Lobeke. All the poachers fled the scene leaving the accused SIMONORE Philemon who was found in possession of two (2) elephant ivories and one (01) elephant tail. During interrogation, he admitted killing the elephant as charged and accepted responsibility. After his offence report was established, he was forwarded together with the seized items as exhibits before the state attorney of the court of First Instance Yokadouma for prosecution.
